The Prime Minister, Mr Kevin Rudd, has announced that the government will establish a reserve for performance artists on a 3,000 hectare site west of Canberra.

Mr Rudd said that performance artists were amongst the most disadvantaged groups in Australian society, with health, income, and social skills, much lower than the Australian average.

It is believed that the reserve will be self-funding, with tickets being sold to visitors to enter the reserve and observe the performance artists. “But visitors will not be allowed to interact with the performance artists, as it only encourages them,” said Mr Rudd.

The Leader of the Opposition, Mr Malcolm Turnbull, said  it would cost a lot of taxpayer money to get the reserve up and running, and the proper place for these people has always been the Greens Party.
