Rivercity Motorways, owners of the Clem7 tunnel in Brisbane (a toll road),

has announced a $1.67 billion loss as of the end of the financial year.

Their share price this year has gone from 30 cents per share to its current

2 cents per share.

What does RiverCity Motorways do???

Pay bonuses to its executives haha!

RiverCity Motorway chief executive Flan Cleary received the biggest bonus of $370,960.

Chief financial officer Christine Hayward received a $229,312 bonus.

Corporate communications manager Anthony Havers received a $189,013 bonus,  and engineering manager Colin Richmond also got a $189,013  bonus.

Former customer operations manager Teish Peterson, who resigned on June 15, was given a $115,326 bonus.

I’m sure these high-flyers are now certain to be head-hunted by the Queensland government!

Edit 28/2/11. Clem 7 tunnel goes into receivership. Weren’t those executives payed the bonuses

for doing such an outstanding job??  Hahaha. Will you never learn (?)
