Banned from Reddit (and I won’t be back).

I was banned from Reddit for bigotry, specifically for the phrase “stupid whites” (I am also white). If you look at the context, I am not calling all whites stupid. I am saying: Australia is run by white elites; the lower socio-economic whites have more in common with the indigenous and their struggles than with the white elites, and to not recognize or acknowledge that IS definitely “stupid”. And of course, white Australia will never truly recompense the indigenous for what they have lost, as that would involve significant amounts of money, and talk is cheap but money costs. Just as indigenous Australians will never be recompensed, lower socio-economic white Australians must always justify and defend social programs like Medicare and unemployment benefits from the attacks of the white elites. ‘Australia can’t afford it’ or some such thing is usually claimed, when, for example, 200 of the richest Australians pay no income tax, and multinational companies with tens of billions of dollars in turnover pay no tax here. To not recognize or acknowledge that IS definitely “stupid”. The very many racist anti-indigenous comments by whites of course goes unpunished, such is the entrenched anti-black racism of many white Australians (even Reddit moderators).

I have never been a fan of social media (and Reddit was all that I was on). Social media reminds me of a bar late at night, loud, crowded, with the many inebriated making little sense. There are, to be sure, smart and witty people somewhere in that bar, but it’s difficult to find them.
